This year, 10th October marks World Mental Health Day – a day designed to help raise awareness of mental health issues, educate and also banish the stigma around talking about mental health. Every year has a different theme, and this year’s theme, which was set by the World Federation For Mental Health, is ‘better mental health for all’.
2020 has been an incredibly tough year for all our mental health. Anxiety, loneliness and isolation was experienced in more intense ways by many for the first time, while existing mental health conditions were exasperated by the pandemic and lockdown.
At the same time, the economic situation means that charities have been seeing fewer donations and also the inability to carrying out their usual fundraising activities, so resources for mental health charities such as Mind have been more strained than usual.
As Bath Mind is Anthem’s chosen charity for the next couple of years, we felt they needed our support more than ever during these tough times, so that they could continue their incredibly important work with the community and beyond.
So for every copy of an Anthem magazine we sell throughout October, we’ll donate 10p to Bath Mind. We thank everyone who buys a magazine in October for helping us to make this donation and we’ll let you know how much we raise next month.
